About Us
Shekinah Assembly of God Church Thiruverumbur, Trichy
originated with a humble beginning in the year 1983. It was pioneered by Rev.
Norman Bhaskar with a mission of reaching the people of Thiruverumbur, Trichy
for Christ.
It was started as a cottage meeting at B.H.E.L
Township, kailasapuram, Trichy-14 and later on became a church as souls were
being added. The church had its inception in a rented house at Thuvakudi near
Thiruverumbur. In January 1984, Pastor. Norman Jeyakar was appointed as full
time pastor. Souls were being added.
In 1986, the church got its recognition by the Tamil Nadu
Assemblies of God. In April 1987, the church was shifted to D.Nagar,
Thiruverumbur to a rented house. Pastor. Norman Jeyakar got married and left to
U.S for ministry.
